Scott O. McLane

Scott O. McLane is a 1992 graduate of Central Michigan University. Scott has a wealth of experience in business consulting and auditing, individual and corporate taxation, governmental and nonprofit accounting and auditing. Scott is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

Randall D. Biddix, CPA, GCMA

Randall D. Biddix is a 1980 graduate of Siena Height University. Randy has a wealth of experience in business consulting and auditing, individual and corporate taxation, and nonprofit accounting and auditing services. Randy has over twenty years as controller and chief financial officer in a manufacturing entity headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As CFO, Randy gained a wealth of experience and business knowledge in financial and management accounting, negotiating loans, and dealing with numerous creditors and customers. Randy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

Ronald L. Markowski, CPA

Ronald L. Markowski, CPA is a 1968 graduate of the University of Michigan. Ron has an impressive background in business consulting and auditing, individual and corporate taxation, estates and trusts, governmental and nonprofit accounting and auditing services. Ron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and the Jackson Area Estate Planning Council. Ron serves as a board member for numerous local nonprofits and governmental boards.

Derrik Southern

Derrik M. Southern is a 2016 graduate of Olivet College. Derrik has a wealth of experience in auditing, individual and corporate taxation, governmental and nonprofit accounting and auditing. Derrik is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

John Long

John graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1993 with a B.A. in Accounting Information Systems. He has worked in or with many companies throughout his career, utilizing his accounting, systems, and tax knowledge in industries including: automotive, manufacturing, retail, wholesale distribution, construction, web design, medical, and education. Later, he obtained an MBA with a specialty in accounting. John is also an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Jackson College, where he has taught Federal Income Tax and Quickbooks accounting.

In December 2019, Markowski & Company, CPAs lost an amazing partner and friend. No words can adequately express our sadness or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with Doug. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Doug have lost a dear friend and mentor. Doug leaves behind a 35 year legacy that will forever be the foundation of Markowski & Company, CPAs.
